The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike is clearly aimed at players who are looking for more than just a good gaming mouse. It is designed for users who want a lightweight wireless mouse that can keep up with a performance-focused setup. Logitech keeps the core philosophy of the G Pro range, with a relatively simple shape, low weight and LIGHTSPEED wireless connectivity, while adding a much more unusual feature: HITS technology, which allows players to customize the behavior of the main clicks. On paper, the specifications are impressive. The mouse features the HERO 2 sensor, support for polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz, an advertised battery life of around 90 hours and a weight of just 65 g. But the customizable click system is what really makes this generation different from more conventional gaming mice. The real question is therefore not whether the G Pro X2 Superstrike is powerful enough. It is. The more interesting question is which type of player can actually justify its price.
The G Pro X2 Superstrike isn't a mouse I'd recommend to everyone, but that's not really what Logitech is aiming for. This is a mouse designed for players who want to get the most out of their hardware. HITS technology brings something genuinely different by allowing you to customize the main clicks, while the HERO 2 sensor and LIGHTSPEED wireless connection deliver excellent gaming performance. It's lightweight, accurate and particularly well suited to FPS games. The price is still its biggest drawback, but if you're willing to invest in a high-end gaming mouse and performance is your priority, the G Pro X2 Superstrike is definitely worth considering.
